What is this guy smiling about?

I'll tell you what my buddy is so happy
6th row for AC/DC.  What an outrageously good concert!  Manny does some really cool stuff and one of those things was to call me, screaming like a kid mind you, telling me that I was going to AC/DC.  OK great.  Super freaking cool even.  But this time he was oddly excited.  "Don't you even want to know where we are sitting?"  "OK, I'll bite.  Where?"

6th ROW!!!!
I took these pictures with my phone, so yeah, the quality blows a little, but it gives you the right idea.  The show was fan-freaking-tastic!

Highway To Hell
For Those About To Rock

When the sound check started most of the older concert goers around us started pulling ear plugs out of their pockets and jamming them in to their ears.  The two 21 year olds (plus one girl friend, you remember the third wheel days as a kid?) began to heckle us.  "Yo bro, why are you ruining the pure concert experience with those?  Did those come with a walker?  If it's too loud you are too old (high five with buddy)"
There were lots of knowing smiles exchanged while we leaned on our walkers and continued to cram the little ear saving foam into our listening holes.  Damn good thing too.  IT WAS FREAKING LOUD!

Angus and Malcolm can come down on the same beat like magic, the same way as other families have that kind of musical ESP (think Eddie and Alex).  These guys were great!  Since you saw the set list you know that there were a few new songs, but mostly just good old fashioned AC/DC.  Topping my list?  Glad you asked.  Thunderstruck, Rosie and Let There be Rock.
There was fire and I am pretty sure that I have covered the fact that fire and explosions at rock concerts is WAYYY cool!  Oh and cannons.  Yep, you guessed it.  Freaking, super bad ass and cool.  The best part about the cannons was that they are the same cheesy cannons as they have been touring with for the last 20 years.  Yep, still cool.
Rosie, turned out to be a 30 foot tall blow up doll.  Hillarious!
The seats were fantastic, and getting to hang out with my buddy Manny is always tops on my list.  Watching the kid from row 5 walking out shaking his head and digging into his unprotected ear with a grimy finger, trying to stop the ringing.  Like the old dude from row 4 said before the show, "OK, call me in 3 days when the ringing won't stop and we can fit you for some hearing aids."
